The Truth About Biblical Marriage

The National Organization for Marriage is rallying its troops around billboards, produced by Roland Advertising of Cookeville, Tenn.

According NOM, “They hope news of the billboard will spread and become a nationwide effort among fellow advocates of marriage between one man and one woman.”  If the truly understood their relgion or the bible what they really are supporting is…

I would hope this would be put on the next billboard after the Roland billboard.  If  the Bible is the word of God how can you choose only pieces of it follow?

I don’t care about their beliefs or their traditions they can have them and cherish them.  They cannot force their beliefs, traditions or religion on others and continue to say they support anything the United States was founded on.

  2. […] help matters Boston Bravery came up with a helpful graphical representation of marriage in the […]

  3. Great graphic representation of Biblical Marriage, I keep thinking about all the sexual activity in the bible *outside* of marriage and it might be worth representing them in the same way.

I like to take your work as a starting point (tweak the look and feel and make a few text changes) and add this to complete the picture. Drop me a line and let’s chat about it. Cheers!

  4. […] message that the Bible teaches one man one woman?  Below is a summary of a graphic found on the blog from where the above quotation was […]

  5. its cause they are protestant
you know, the ones who can take the bible and draw up their own conclusions

  6. None of the graphical representations in this poster reflect marriage biblically defined. All of them describe the ways people in the Bible rebelled and subverted God’s original plan. The Bible does not condone or promote any of the representations in this graphic.

  7. good try – but there is nothing in this picture or in the bible that it is supposed to represent about a man and a man or a woman and a woman….even in polygamy – the women are all married to the man – not to each other.
