Yesterday I posted the actual history has to when I first heard the Tea Party Members referred to tea baggers.
Well it seems I don’t need to rely on MSNBC even though that is what the “Right wingers” is blaming for being called tea baggers. I can instead go to William F. Buckley’s Nation Review on December 1, 2009 as source where the clearly show that the tea party members are solely responsible for using the term tea bagger, ‘The first big day for this movement was Tax Day, April 15. And organizers had a gimmick. They asked people to send a tea bag to the Oval Office. One of the exhortations was ‘Tea Bag the Fools in D.C.’ A protester was spotted with a sign saying, ‘Tea Bag the Liberal Dems Before They Tea Bag You.’ So, conservatives started it: started with this terminology.”
Yes it goes on to say the ran with it but how could you not? It even tells readers to do exactly what I have been telling those tea baggers to do, “Some conservatives are happy to embrace ‘teabagger,’ or are at least willing to do so. They are ‘owning the insult,’ which is to say, taking what is intended as a slur and wearing it proudly”
Notice the date is April 9, 2009. It is very clear that the Tea Party started using the term the tea bag this and tea bag them.
Here is where the Tea-Baggers want the term to be orginated on Countdown with Keith Olbermann:
Which is dated April 16, 2009.
Here is Rachel on Tea-Bagging before the Countdown segment:
